The long-mooted documentary on The Beach Boys is nearing release, and the trailer is now available to watch.
"They were participating in the creation of the California dream," rock 'n' roll historian Josh Kun says at one point in the clip, and it's hard to argue.

With never-before-seen archival footage, the documentary will offer an intimate insight into the lives behind the influential music and the pandemonium of screaming fans that engulfed them.
Alongside interviews with bandmates, the documentary will also feature include interviews with other luminaries such as Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham, soul singer Janelle Monáe, Ryan Tedder, and Don Was.
