David Bowie sadly died over ten years ago now, but the appreciation and celebration of his life and work has just grown in that time.

Even before his passing, his influence was recognised with the groundbreaking David Bowie Is exhibition. After his death there was Brett Morgen's unconventional Moonage Daydream documentary.

Since then, the V&A has opened up its doors to the David Bowie Archive, and now multimedia specialists Lightroom have announced a special experience that gives a unique perspective on all things Bowie.

Making use of the venue's 11-metre tall walls, open floor space and specialised HOLOPLOT spatial audio system, the David Bowie: You're Not Alone show combines performance footage, photography, drawings, lyrics, personal notes and sketches for an immersive looped experience.

Based in Kings Cross, London, David Bowie: You’re Not Alone is produced by Lightroom and designed by 59, a Journey studio, and directed by David Bowie Is creative director Mark Grimmer and Tom Wexler, and the audio comes from award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry (Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, David Bowie Is).

"Be transported into the many worlds of David Bowie," said Lightroom.

"Through iconic performances, rarely-seen interviews and never-before-exhibited material, discover the creative mind, spirit and soul of one of the world’s greatest, most visionary artists.

"Featuring Bowie himself as its sole voice, David Bowie: You’re Not Alone is both a multimedia spectacle and an intimate and revealing self-portrait."

Tickets are priced at £25/£15 and are available now, with booking currently available from April 22 to June 28.

Mark Grimmer said: "It says something about our relationship with artistic heroes that we're drawn to mystery, otherness, the alien.

"In Bowie's case, this is our construct, not his. Throughout his career, Bowie repeatedly resisted being figured as anything but human.

"Rather than undermining his mystique, we designed a show to celebrate Bowie as a champion of human creativity - focusing on the message he expressed time and again: that art, in all its forms, is our best hope for understanding what it means to be alive."

Lightroom executive David Sabel said: "Lightroom offers an incredible opportunity to step inside an artist’s imagination and creative universe – weaving film, photography, animation, text and music into a story that can only be experienced in this space. I cannot think of an artist more suited to this than David Bowie.

"To spend time in his world as it comes to life around you and to travel back and forth across the decades of astonishing performances, whether reliving them or experiencing them for the first time, is a total thrill. Working so closely with RZO and the David Bowie Archive has been a great privilege."
