Elton John cuts the ribbon at the new Battersea Power Station venue.
Elton John has been announced as the first headliner at a brand new London venue, and the concert takes place tonight (September 28).
The singer-songwriter will perform at Apple Music Hall, which is situated below the company's UK HQ at Battersea Power Station.
The venue has an intimate 600 person capacity and tickets predictably sold out instantly when they went on sale this morning.
But worry not, because this show – like all concerts at the venue – will be available to watch from home.
"If you can't make the show, Elton John's performance will be live-streamed on Apple Music and available on demand afterward," confirmed the company.
The venue is in a particularly rock 'n' roll location, with Battersea Power Station being immediately recognisable from the front cover of Pink Floyd's Animals.
Say Hello to Apple Music Hall
"Apple Music Hall is a fantastic venue, like nothing fans will have ever seen before," said managing director at Communion ONE Mazin Tappuni.
"The production quality is world class, livestreaming to fans across the world, from a live room where every square foot has the artist and their fans in mind."
The venue has been especially designed for recording and streaming, featuring not just multitrack recording and mixing via Spatial Audio but also 16 video cameras and a broadcast control room for live video production.

There's also an on-site Apple Radio studio for artists to deconstruct their performance after the show.
Elton John retired from touring in 2023 after playing 333 shows in nine legs over five years on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road jaunt.
But as promised, he's still booked the occasional live show, including massive concerts in Brazil and Mexico alongside smaller scale concerts.
