After months and years of teasing, The Rolling Stones have finally confirmed all the details of their upcoming studio album Foreign Tongues.

And ahead of its release on July 10, the band have already unveiled a couple of singles: 'Rough and Twisted', released first under The Cockroaches name, and newbie 'In The Stars'.

The Rolling Stones have unveiled a new musical video for 'In The Stars', and it's certainly eye-catching.

In keeping with the classic throwback Stones sound of the song, it features not the grizzled Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood of today performing their song, but digitally "de-aged" versions of the band.

It's done so well that if you didn't know better, you'd have thought the Stones had popped into a time machine on a break while recording Exile on Main Street to film the new video.

You've got young Mick, Keith and Ronnie doing their thing and while we're assuming it's Steve Jordan playing drums on the record, they've resisted the temptation to go for young Steve or, of course, a reincarnated Charlie Watts.

Instead there's a revolving cast of drummers doing their things behind the kit.

"They needed all those drummers to make up for Charlie!" quipped one YouTube commenter.

The 'In The Stars' video was directed by Francois Rousselet and produced by Riff Raff Films. The video featured Odessa A’zion, with Hot Property as the band double.

The Mick double was Luca Arshad, Kieth double was Jonny Weber and Ronnie double was Tyla Challenger, with Deep Voodoo handling the AI.

But if you thought the idea of a classic 1960s act "de-aging" themselves in a video for a new song seemed somewhat familiar, you'd be right.

Paul McCartney, Beck - Find My Way

It was only five years ago that Mick Jagger's long-time pop-rival (and recent studio collaborator) Paul McCartney did the very same thing.

Sir Paul used a "hyper-realistic digital avatar" of his younger self in 2021 for the promo for 'Find My Way' (feat. Beck).

And while it wasn't a continuous video of their younger selves playing the whole song, the Stones' have already their young selves from across their career "performing" on animated billboards in the video for their 2023 single 'Angry', too.
