The Beatles movies confirmed the main players almost a year ago, with Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

In the months that have followed we've found out further casting details, the release date, and whether or not the boys will be singing themselves (they will).

But we haven't had a chance to see what Harris, Paul, Joseph and Barry will actually look like as John, Paul, George and Ringo. Until now.

And in a special reveal that's truly appropriate for the films, the first look pictures have been put on postcards hidden at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

"We’ve been given exclusive postcards promoting the new Beatles movies!” read a post on LIPA's official Instagram yesterday (January 29).

"We've hidden them around LIPA, and we want students to find them."

The college has turned the reveal into a game for its students that we can all follow online.

"We've hidden a further 20 postcards this morning, with 20 more to be hidden at lunchtime," it added today.

"Students - if you find one, tag @lipaliverpool and @sonypicturesuk."

They added: "It's been such an honour to bring the Beatles back home. Paul, George and John all studied in the buildings that now make up LIPA, while Sir Paul remains our Lead Patron.

"John, Paul, George and Ringo are a constant source of inspiration to us all. The four films, directed by LIPA Companion Sir Sam Mendes, are released in April 2028 and we can't wait to see them!"

The unique movie release was explained as follows: "The four theatrical feature films – one from each band member’s point-of-view – will intersect to tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history.

"The dating cadence of the films, the details of which will be shared closer to release, will be innovative and groundbreaking."

All four Beatles films will be directed by Sam Mendes and are due for release from April 7, 2028.
