The date marks the first time in 21 years Jones has headlined a show in Cardiff, though he played at the city's Principality Stadium last year alongside his countrymen the Stereophonics.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, February 9 at 10am, and fans can register for ticket updates now.
Nick Saunders, founder of promoter DEPOT Live said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing the Voice from Pontypridd back to the Welsh capital this summer; we know it’s something that people have waited a long time for.
"We can’t think of a more perfect setting for Sir Tom than the castle."
In 2021, Jones released his 41st studio album Surrounded By Time, trailed by the single 'Talking Reality Television Blues'.
When it topped the charts, it made Sir Tom the oldest man to get a number one album of new material, snatching the record from Bob Dylan who had reached the summit a year earlier with Rough and Rowdy Ways.
