Always leave them wanting... less?
Since the mid-1990s, Bob Dylan has been absolutely spoiling his fans with live releases, outtakes and archive recordings.
First came The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961–1991, and we're now up to 2025's The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through the Open Window 1956–1963.
2002 saw the release of The Bootleg Series Vol. 5: Bob Dylan Live 1975, The Rolling Thunder Revue, a two-CD set of the first leg of one of the most beloved tours in his whole career.
But that was far from the end of Dylan's look back at The Rolling Thunder Revue.

To accompany 2019 film Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese, Bob released Bob Dylan – The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings – a whopping 19CD, 148-track collection.
But that's literally not even the half of it. Dylan has now returned to The Rolling Thunder Revue for an even bigger release.
Coming on November 6, 2026 is a 39CD, 381-track box set featuring every single professionally recorded show from the second leg of the tour in 1976, all from original tape sources.
371 of these recordings have never been heard before. You can pre-order the box set now.
As well as occasional reunions with old musical partner Joan Baez for duets on 'Blowin' in the Wind' and 'Railroad Boy', the Rolling Thunder Revue featured musicians Rob Stoner, Scarlet Rivera, Howie Wyeth, Mick Ronson, Steven Soles, David Mansfield and T Bone Burnett.
"The Rolling Thunder Revue was the first national punk rock tour," said Burnett.
Going, Going, Gone (Live at Tarrant County Convention Center Arena, Fort Worth, TX - May 16, 1976)
"It opened a door that led to a furious explosion of new music – The Clash, Elvis Costello, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols and on and on.
"Dylan had done it again. He is good at walking through doors that no one else even sees, doors that others think are walls."
For those of you not quite ready to take on 39 discs of Dylan, there'll also be a 3LP release of the complete May 16, 1976 Fort Worth show, remixed from the original multi-track tapes.
