Eric Clapton goes back out on the road with some very high profile shows.

Unlike Paul Simon and Elton John, Eric Clapton is showing no signs of hanging up his microphone and giving up touring any time soon.
The guitarist has now announced five absolutely massive UK and Ireland tour dates for May 2024.

The jaunt takes in shows in Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham and Dublin, as well as three dates at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now, and the full dates are as follows:
- Thursday 9 May - Newcastle Utilita Arena
- Saturday 11 May - Liverpool M&S Bank Arena
- Monday 13 May - Birmingham Resorts World Arena
- Thursday 16 May - Dublin 3Arena
- Monday 20 May - London Royal Albert Hall
- Tuesday 21 May - London Royal Albert Hall
- Thursday 23 May - London Royal Albert Hall
Eric Clapton - Key To The Highway (Live at The Royal Albert Hall)
Clapton has a strong recent showing at the Royal Albert Hall, having been key player during two tribute concerts for Jeff Beck held at the venue in May.
A collaboration between the two guitarist's guitarists on 'Moon River' recorded shortly before Beck's passing was also released last month.
He also played a series of shows at the same venue back in 2019
Clapton will also perform at his own Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Los Angeles this September.
