Paul Simon's Quiet Celebration is coming to the UK and Ireland next year.
Paul Simon seemingly retired from touring back in 2018, but made a shock return to the road with his Quiet Celebration jaunt earlier this year.
It wasn't clear if he would ever perform outside of North America again, but the legendary singer-songwriter has now given his British and Irish fans an incredible early Christmas present - he's coming back here for the first time in eight years.
Despite his continued struggles with hearing loss, Simon will play a number of shows in the UK and Ireland as part of A Quiet Celebration - Europe 2026.
He'll follow dates in the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and France with shows in Liverpool, Glasgow, London and Dublin.
Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, December 17 at 10am.
The full UK and Ireland tour dates are as follows:
Paul Simon - A Quiet Celebration Tour
On the US leg of the tour, Simon has been backed by a full band including Caleb Burhans on viola, Jamey Haddad on percussion, Gyan Riley on guitar, Mick Rossi on piano and keys, Andy Snitzer on saxophone, Nancy Stagnita on flute, Mark Stewart on guitar and Eugene Friesen on cello. Steve Gadd and Matt Chamberlin alternated on drums.
While he stepped away from the road for seven years, Paul Simon hadn't stopped performing or making music.
As well as playing short sets at various festivals and other special shows, he released the completely acoustic album Seven Psalms in 2023.
