A biopic about the Bee Gees has been in the works for quite some time, with big name director Ridley Scott currently attached to the eagerly anticipated movie.
The project has seemingly stopped and started a few times, but now Robin Gibb's son RJ has told Gold Radio's Kirsty Gallacher that "they're hoping to get the filming underway" in just a few months.

"The family have been interviewed for the scripts and such," RJ said.
"I really don't know if they've settled on the actor, the cast. I know Bradley Cooper was being considered for Barry... at one point Rami Malek was being considered for my father, but we don't know."

He added: "Graham King is doing the production, so he might want a face and stuff and not sort of tread on the toes of Bohemian Rhapsody.
"If they get it right, it's one of the richest musical stories you could ever tell... in the end it's a great team and they'll do a good job."
The Bee Gees movie was first rumoured back in 2019 before being formally announced the following year after the launch of 2020 documentary The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.
It went through a number of directors, including Kenneth Branagh, Sing Street's John Carney and Hustlers' Lorene Scafaria before ending up with Ridley Scott.
The film has the blessing of the sole surviving Bee Gee, Barry Gibb, who is an executive producer on the project.
