The US has often remade hit UK TV shows with varying levels of success...
It's remarkable just how many British TV shows have been remade in America.
Despite us sharing a language, there are enough cultural differences and worries about accents to make executives wary of simply rebroadcasting a UK show.
Whether it's drama, comedy or reality telly, countless hit British shows have been reworked for the US market, with varying levels of success.
Sometimes they keep the UK title. Sometimes they add a "US" on the end of it. Sometimes even the title is deemed unsuitable for American ears, or the (re)makers want a bit of distance from the British original.
Some of those new names are inspired. Some are ridiculous. But if we tell you the hit British original, can you name the US remake?
